AFB Testing System
The Sandwich Vessel Concentration Technology provides an innovative concentration method with high efficiency, safety, low cost and improved positive rate, which collects bacteria through membrane filtration and adsorption process in combination with Autor Stainer. The membrane concentrated with bacteria can be directly dyed and examined by microscope.
The AFB Testing System adopting Sandwich Vessel Concentration Technology includes Interlayer Acid-fast Bacilli Test Kits and Auto Stainers, is intended to provide assist for clinical diagnosis.

Auto Stainer
The Auto Stainer uses the filtering principle, which is suitable for slide making and staining for the specimens of sputum, pleural effusion, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, cervical cancer cells and etc. The Auto Stainer is in a close system, being used in combination with the Sandwich Vessel Concentration technology.
The Auto Stainer provides semi-automated (MS-1, MS-5) and automated (MS-AUTO20) staining function and must be operated by professionals or trained laboratorians.
The semi-automated Auto Stainer provides vacuum and heating function. The automated Auto Stainer provides vacuum, heating and reagent adding function. By working with the kits that uses Sandwich Vessel technology, the sample can be concentrated and stained on a membrane to improve detecting rate.

Interlayer Acid-Fast Bacilli Test Kit
The Interlayer Acid-Fast Bacilli Test Kit incorporated with Concentrated Sandwich Smear Method, is intended for use in the screening of acid-fast bacilli present in various body fluid specimens.
The Concentrated Sandwich Smear Method begins with the collection of patient’s sputum sample or other body fluid specimens from clinical sites. Rather than being directly smeared on a microscope slide, the sputum sample or other body fluid specimens is treated with Specimen Digestive Solution provided in the Interlayer Acid-Fast Bacilli Test Kit. The treated sputum sample or other body fluid specimens is then continued with staining procedures on MS-1/ MS-5 Semi-Automated or MS-AUTO20 Fully Automated Stainer.
